Physiotherapy

Paediatric physiotherapists work with babies, children and young people to:

  • Promote optimal developmental progress and movement acquisition
  • Maximise physical function
  • Assist with recovery after surgery
  • Prescribe exercises to improve fitness and strength
  • Educate people about their child’s conditions and child development
  • Promote healthy lifestyles

They work with a variety of conditions affecting the:

  • Musculoskeletal system (the bones, joints and muscles)
  • Cardio respiratory system (the lungs and breathing)
  • Neurological system (the brain, spinal cord and nerves)
  • Development and co-ordination

All our physiotherapists are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
